8 October 2014 – Chicago, United States – Friedman Corporation (“Friedman”), a division of Vela Software International, has completed the acquisition of the business of NedGraphics b.v. (“Nedgraphics”).
NedGraphics has over 35 years of experience in developing, marketing and supporting the leading CAD- CAM software to thousands of companies within the textile and apparel industry. NedGraphics’ integrated software solutions are used around the world in fashion design, floor coverings, and home furnishings. The NedGraphics software solution actively supports customers throughout the entire textile value chain, from freelance designers to large-scale production facilities and from yarn manufacturing to weaving and pattern. The acquisition is Vela’s first acquisition in the textile vertical market.
As a result of the acquisition, the Nedgraphic business will operate as an independent division of Friedman and will continue to develop, enhance, service and support software solutions in order to provide a competitive edge to its customers.
